51 YEARS OR 45 YEARS

31st of August is just around the corner, well again it was a Malaysia Independence Day. During school time, there is two significant day for malaysia, the first is on the 31st of August and the second is on the 16 September. Both dates are equally important since it reflect the past generation struggle for independence.

31 of August 1957 is the memorable day for the Malay Peninsular in which the date where Tunku Abdul Rahman shouted MERDEKA! MERDEKA! MERDEKA. 6 years later on the same date and month it was the time for Sabah, and Sarawak declare its OWN independence day from the British. By that time, both state have already agreed together with Malay Peninsular and Singapore to form a New Federation called Malaysia.

16 of September was the day when the words Malaysia Officially declare as a Federation country of Peninsular , Singapore (withdrawn from the federation few years later) , Sabah, and Sarawak.

And now, it is 2008, 51 years after Peninsular Malay gained its independence and 45 years after the Birth of a NEW NATION called MALAYSIA.

51 years or 45 years , you decide , but as for me , it should be 45 YEARS as it show the truth about what Malaysia is. The hidden fact which most ppl will ignore. Happy 45th independence day, Malaysia.
